The Jan Karski Educational Foundation announced today that Senator John McCain has been chosen as the 2014 recipient of the Spirit of Jan Karski Award. On September 26 and 27, 2014, The European Union Center of California hosted a lively international conference on the occasion of the Jan Karski centennial, called "Exploring the Concept and Application of the Responsibility to Protect (R2P)."
Many cultural events that accompanied the Loyola Conference in Chicago allowed everyone to reflect and enjoy. The conference included the screening of two films about WWII and a splendid concert of Polish classical and cabaret music. A new play about Karski followed the next day.
