The live theater presentations of the play, “Remember This: The Lesson of Jan Karski,” have resumed with a fantastic run from October 6 through 17 at the Shakespeare Theater Company in Washington, D.C. The series started with the luncheon at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland attended by eleven ambassadors, who had an opportunity to learn about the play and meet the Academy Award nominee David Strathairn (Good Night, and Good Luck; Lincoln; Nomadland), who plays Karski, and the play’s creator, Derek Goldman.

This one-man show has been enthusiastically received by the audience and the press, including the prestigious Washington Post. Strathairn has been hailed as a “charismatic shape-shifter” and an emotionally versatile and complex actor. The reviews have also stressed the contemporary implications of the Karski legacy, which have been so effectively conveyed in the play.
