Magdalena Pawlak (in the black dress)
"The World Knew” exhibit opened on April 24 at the European University in St. Petersburg, Russia. The Polish History Museum’s co-curator Magdalena Pawlak was one of the speakers at opening on behalf of the Museum. A part of the 70th commemoration of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, the exhibit is being presented in the Russian language. Participants wore a symbolic sign of the project, a miniature daffodil proposed by the Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw.
The opening was concurrent with the publication of the Russian edition of Jan Karski’s book “Story of a Secret State” (Astrel, 2012).
