Call for Applications to 2023 Georgetown Leadership Seminar

The Jan Karski Educational Foundation and Fundacja Edukacyjna Jana Karskiego in Warsaw, Poland, call for applications to this year’s

Georgetown Leadership Seminar, organized by the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, where Jan Karski was a distinguished professor. This prestigious program will take place on October 22-27, 2023.

Preference will be given to the candidates whose professional/volunteering work in the following areas is in accord with Karski's legacy: foreign and international affairs, political science, national and global security, strategic studies, and conflict resolution. Government employees on the national and local levels, civil servants, leaders of NGOs, scholars, experts, managers, scholars, and journalists are welcome to apply.

The candidates shall

  • be up to 40 years of age;
  • have at least an M.A./M.Sc. Degree;
  • have Polish citizenship and residence;
  • have permanent employment (preferred requirement);
  • have a minimum of five years of professional experience;
  • demonstrate high proficiency in the English language.

The award, sponsored by the Foundation, includes all meals, lodging, and round-trip transportation to Washington, DC, USA.

The deadline for the application is July 25, 2023.

It brings rising leaders from around the world to the campus for a week of intensive discussion on major international issues.
