The exhibition “To Those Who Fight…” by Polish-American artist Anna VanMatre will open on November 18, 2021, at the Center for Persecuted Arts in Solingen, Germany. The exhibition presents fourteen heroes of the Kraków Ghetto who fought against the Nazis during World War II.

One piece of artwork is dedicated to Jan Karski—a Polish emissary who brought his eye-witness report to the Western leaders—whom Ms. VanMatre befriended at the end of his life. On display will also be three panels presenting Karski’s biography and legacy. The exhibition will run through February 13, 2022. The Karski biographical portion was created with the support of the Jan Karski Educational Foundation.

More information about the exhibit from its original opening in 2020 in Krakow, Poland, is available on this link on our website.
