The Polish Embassy in Lisbon and the Institute of Political Studies of the Portuguese Catholic University sponsored a dinner honoring Jan Karski on June 2, 2026, as part of the Estoril Political Forum.
On June 2nd of this year, the prestigious annual event entitled the "Jan Karski Memorial Dinner" took place at the emblematic Hotel Palácio Estoril, as part of the program of the 34th Estoril Political Forum 2026 devoted to the issues of independence in an interdependent world. It was organized by the Polish Embassy in Lisbon in cooperation with the Institute of Political Studies of the Portuguese Catholic University.
The keynote speaker at the event was Dr. Agnieszka Bieńczyk-Missala, head of the Department of Strategic Studies and International Security at the University of Warsaw. Dr. Bieńczyk-Missala is a past recipient of a Georgetown Leadership Seminar scholarship, sponsored by the Jan Karski Educational Foundation and the Fundacja Edukacyjna Jana Karskiego, and a close friend of the Foundation.
