Jan Karski Educational Foundation President Wanda Urbanska gave five presentations to educators on August 12 - 14 on the heroism of Polish Underground emissary Jan Karski during the Holocaust. Venues included the Social Science 3.0 Expo at the Edmund Walsh Elementary School on Chicago's South Side and the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center in Skokie.

Jan Karski Educational Foundation President Wanda Urbanska made a three-hour presentation on the legacy of Jan Karski -- and how it can be used in the classroom -- on Monday, July 29, to the Summer Teachers' Institute at the Chizuk Amuno Congregation in Baltimore. Sponsored by the Baltimore Jewish Council, the Jewish Museum of Maryland, and the Maryland State Department of Education, the Institute's 2013 theme was Confronting Genocide: Heroism during the Holocaust.
