An exhibit of photographs by world-acclaimed photographer Chuck Fishman, is appearing at the Derfner Judaica Museum in the Bronx, New York.
Fishman has photographed world leaders from Pope John Paul II to Lech Walesa to Muhammad Ali. For this exhibit, he returned to Poland to see the new vibrancy of the Polish community there, after a 30-year hiatus. Here's a video in which Chuck explains the project in English with Polish subtitles.
A reception with the artist will be held on Sept. 17 from 1:30-3pm at the Derfner Judaica Museum at 5901 Palisade Avenue in the Riverside section of the Bronx.
More information about the exhibit is available on their website.
The poster for the exhibit is attached below with more details on the exhibit, and it's also mentioned on the Fordham University website.
The Jan Karski Educational Foundation is a sponsor of this exhibit, along with the Museum and the Yivo Institute for Jewish Research.
