Jan Karski US Centennial Campaign Director Wanda Urbanska received the attached letter from President Barack Obama, acknowledging the gift of two copies of Karski's Story of a Secret State -- one hardcover, the other in softcover, in conjunction with his awarding the late Dr. Karski a Presidential Medal of Freedom this May.
The President will be receiving a third copy of the book early next year when Georgetown University Press issues the US edition of this classic book about the Polish Underground in World War II.
