The Jan Karski Educational Foundation has unveiled a new banner created to celebrate The Year of Jan Karski and to honor his life and legacy in 2014, the 100th anniversary of his birth. Although Karski successfully completed his physical mission to warn the Western Allies of the Holocaust and the bloodbath in occupied Poland in 1943, his message of moral courage and tolerance in today’s war-torn world is timeless. The banner was created by the JKEF graphic design intern Natalia Mrozek.
"The compelling design suggests the wide ripples Professor Karski has made and is making around the world," says JKEF President Wanda Urbanska. "We are excited to share this banner – which will serve as a reminder about the many centennial events – with Karski's many fans around the globe."
